POS and point of sale software
The till is the most constrained part of a business. That is exactly why it gets connected last.
Equipping a venue rarely happens all at once, and that is fortunate. The order in which the pieces go in decides whether staff adopt the tool or work around it — and a tool that gets worked around is a tool lost, whatever it cost.
The till touches accounting, payment methods and usually hardware already in place: drawer, receipt printer, barcode scanner, scale. That is why it comes last, once an earlier tool — digital menu, order taking, stock — has already been accepted by the team.
Two requirements are not negotiable. It must take payments with no internet, working locally and syncing when the network returns. And it must be usable by someone who has not been trained: during a rush nobody reads a manual.
What is included
Payments
A touch screen designed for speed, split cash and card payments, discounts, voids, refunds, and end-of-shift cash-up.
Offline operation
The till keeps running if the line drops, then syncs by itself. Without this, an internet outage closes your business.
Stock connection
Every sale reduces real stock, including when you also sell online. That is what stops you selling the last item twice.
Hospitality
Floor plan, kitchen printing, split bills, set menus. Built on KweekServ, already running in venues.
Multi-site
Several outlets, per-site pricing, and consolidation that finally gives you one figure for the group.
Hardware
Receipt printers, cash drawers, barcode scanners and scales: we work with what you already own wherever possible.
Who it is for
- Restaurants, cafés and tea rooms
- Retail shops, grocers and boutiques
- Chains and franchises with several outlets
- Venues still running the till on paper
What drives the price
- The number of till stations and outlets.
- Hardware: reusing what exists costs less than equipping from scratch.
- Sector specifics: floor plan and kitchen printing for hospitality, weight and barcodes for food retail.
- Connection to existing accounting or management software.
- Staff training, sized according to turnover in your team.
Frequently asked questions
What happens if the internet drops mid-service?
The till keeps working locally and records everything. When the connection returns, sales upload on their own. This is the first question to ask any POS supplier, and the answer eliminates half the market.
Can we keep our current receipt printer?
Usually yes. Thermal printers use standard protocols. We check your hardware during scoping, before quoting anything.
How long does training take?
If training runs past an hour, the interface is at fault. A till is tested in live service, not in a demo: a rush is where you find out whether a screen is usable.
Where should a restaurant start?
With the digital menu — a QR code on the table and a menu editable in two minutes. It is the highest-return, lowest-risk piece: no reprinting on every price change, no gap between the displayed price and the billed one. Order taking comes next, the till last.
